The Almanack of World Football 2006 was published in September 2005 and covers world football in the 2004 and 2004-05 seasons. This was the year of Liverpool’s heroic victory over Milan in the 2005 UEFA Champions League final.
It was also the season that Nigeria’s Enyimba became the first team since 1968 to retain the CAF Champions League when they beat Tunisia’s Etoile du Sahel in the 2004 final.
